Can You Train Your Body to Feel Good?

“What an idea! My body hurts period! I have no control over that?”

Remember the placebo effect: you give someone a sugar pill she thinks she is getting a pain killer and voila the pain goes away!

When you feel pain what do you do?

  • Cringe
  • Tighten up
  •  Put yourself down for something you did or did not do
  • Start feeling sad, angry, depressed?

All of the above!

You are not alone!

Here are a few tips for the next time you have  pain:

  • Thank your body for showing you what you need to let go
  • Give yourself a hug and say: “I am here and I am helping you”
  • Put your hands on the painful area and ask: “if there was a thought stored in my _________(Body Part) what would it be?
  • ” If there were an emotion stored in _______ what would it be?
  • Tap on this thought and and on this emotion
  • Imagine the tightness, the density, the inflexibility, the weight .
  • Put it all in a bio-degradable helium balloon and let it go
  • Now bathe  the area in refreshing green light letting that light encircle that body part and relaxing all the muscles and healing the pain
